| Day 1 – Methods Overview of the Foresight Process: The first day is hands-on and interactive. Each participant prepares one foresight method prior to seminar day 1—such as horizon scanning, drivers of change analysis, wild cards, back casting, road mapping, or scenario techniques—and presents it to the group. Over the course of the day, this creates a shared, dynamic method pool and provides a structured overview of the entire foresight process: from framing and scanning to analysis, scenario building, and interpretation. Participants leave with a set of practical tools and a strong process understanding they can directly apply to their group work. Project Phase – Developing Scenarios in Research-Relevant Fields: Between the two seminar days, participants work in small groups on a foresight project related to their own research areas or professional contexts. Each team identifies key drivers and uncertainties, develops scenarios, and derives strategic insights. Throughout this phase, we offer coaching calls to answer methodological questions, provide feedback, and support the teams in their foresight work. Day 2 – Presentations, Exchange & Reflection: On seminar day 2, each project team presents its foresight process, as well as the scenarios and implications, it has developed: Which possible futures emerged? Which surprises or critical uncertainties surfaced? What implications arise for research, innovation, or strategy? We then engage in moderated discussions to compare methodological choices, reflect on insights, and synthesize learnings. | |
