Join the ETH RDM Summer School 2026 to master effective data management and enhance the quality, transparency, and impact of your research.
Strengthen the backbone of your research by developing solid, reproducible data practices. At the ETH Research Data Management Summer School, you will gain hands-on experience with essential tools and strategies that help you organise, document, analyse, and share your data responsibly throughout the entire research cycle.
Clear and well-structured data management is not just good practice – it is required by research institutions and major funding bodies, including the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and Horizon Europe. This one-week programme equips you with the competencies needed to meet these requirements, from creating robust data management plans to applying the FAIR principles so your data become Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable.
Across five days, you’ll explore key topics such as open science, reproducible workflows, secure handling of confidential data, open-access publishing, data sharing, and long-term preservation. By the end, you will be ready to optimise your data workflow, comply with funder and institutional requirements, and increase the visibility and integrity of your scientific output.

- daily data management during a research project
- reproducible data management and analysis
