Sika supports ETH project for sustainable construction
Sika is participating as a funding partner in ETH Zurich’s “Living Lab HIL” project. With a significant financial contribution, Sika is supporting the early project phases “Exploration” (2026), “Synthesis” (2027) and “Transfer” (2028). During these stages, the renovation and expansion of the ETH building for architecture and civil engineering will be prepared and designed as a real-life case study for circular, resource-efficient and digital construction.

Ulrich Weidmann stepping down from the ETH Executive Board in spring 2027
Ulrich Weidmann, Vice President for Infrastructure and Sustainability (VPIN), will step down from the Executive Board at the end of March 2027. He will retire in mid-2028 and wishes to ensure a smooth transition into his post-work life. He plans to give the new ETH President the chance to make their first personnel decision in the search for his successor.
